Dr Sarah Asokendaran
Director

Sarah is a dynamic strategist with over 15 years of experience driving growth and transformation across many ASX-listed companies and large-scale infrastructure projects.

Her passion for empowering women in leadership is what led to the founding of WoLED. She believes that when women rise and lead boldly, systems shift and industries transform.

“Across my own career — in academia, corporate, public service, and consulting — I’ve encountered systemic barriers that many of us know all too well. I have often been spoken over in meetings, I have been told that I speak very well for someone who was born elsewhere, I have been told that I have great experience and leadership qualities but the role requires a ‘strong male lead’.

“WoLED was born from a desire to create something different: a space for women like me — those seeking purpose-driven leadership roles, not just executive titles — to find mentorship, sponsorship, and peer support.”

Sarah holds a PhD in Law and Economics from the University of Queensland along with a Master of Arts in Journalism and Bachelor of Law (Honours). She is a multilingual communicator, published thought leader, and seasoned presenter, fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Bahasa Indonesia.

As the voice behind WoLED's digital presence, Lauren brings creativity, strategy, and a deep understanding of community to every post. With nearly 5 years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, and brand storytelling, Lauren is passionate about turning engagement into impact.

“I am passionate about making sure WoLED's story connects with the right audience at the right time. From crafting event campaigns, to analysing performance-driven metrics - I am passionate in ensuring that WoLED's mission and brand stays relevant, relatable and results-driven.”
